An dieser Tankstelle habe ich nach weihnachtlichen Familienbesuchen oft Mietwagen vor der Rückgabe vollgetankt. Als der Flughafen Tegel noch aufhatte, gab es dort immer die billigsten Autos zu mieten und hier das billigste Benzin.
Mit dem Flughafen ist nun auch die Tankstelle geschlossen. Der ehemalige Zapfbereich ist eingezäunt. Anders als auf dem Parkplatz ringsum kehrt hinter dem Zaun niemand das Laub und die Eicheln weg, die von den Straßen-Bäumen fallen.
I often filled up rental cars at this petrol station after Christmas family visits before returning them. When Tegel Airport was still open, its car rental places offered the cheapest cars and this station the cheapest petrol.
The petrol station has closed with the airport. The former petrol pump area is fenced off. Unlike the car park around it, behind the fence no one sweeps away the leaves and acorns that fall from the trees.
